Cheaper grade deadbolt not so simple to install

Well you went to buy new deadbolt at home hardware store and once you arrived home at your surprise the deadbolt is not the right fit, either Hole was too small or Door is too thick.

To make your life easier if you buy deadbolt DO NOT GET the hunchback style, it will required a hole 2 1/8 most doors have smaller hole 1 3/4, 1 5/8. either your didnt check your door thickness its not standard 1 3/4 but 2 1/4 or even worst 3 inch.

The photo is a sample many people dont realise and buy this model, DO NOT! Get the flat surface it will be working on any hole size. and make sure to take picture of your full door before going to buy any lock it will be helpful to show the floor person what you have.
